IRD Duhallow wishes to complement Iarnród Eireann on the recent expansion of rail services in Duhallow.  We welcome the arrival of the new rolling stock on the line between Tralee and Mallow, and the additional services between Duhallow, Cork, Dublin and Killarney / Tralee.

IRD Duhallow welcomes this additional investment in Duhallow, and we look forward to the further development of services, including the full implementation of the detailed proposals we put forward to the regional authority in the context of the regional planning guidelines.

A new early morning service, departing Millstreet at 6.53am arrives in Dublin at 9.35am.  There is also an extra evening service leaving Dublin at 5pm, which arrives into Millstreet at 7.40pm.

Both these services connect directly with the high-speed Cork – Dublin service at Mallow.  There are also additional morning and afternoon services between Rathmore, Millstreet, Banteer and Mallow/ Cork, with connections to and from Dublin.  With petrol prices rising and traffic congestion in urban centres, rail is becoming an increasingly attractive means of travel.  Details of the new timetable are available from local rail stations or by phoning 1850 836 6222 or on www.irishrail.ie
